At Jumpstart Funding, the trust behind every funding decision reaches all the way to your information. We are a direct lender that provides financing to established U.S. businesses, and this Privacy Policy explains, in plain terms, how we collect, use, share, and protect information across our Site and Services.
It covers the information we handle through this Site and in the course of providing our Services, and nothing beyond that. Sites, tools, and companies we do not control sit outside this Policy, even when you reach them from a link here.
By accessing or using the Site or the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Site or the Services.
Getting your business moving means knowing a bit about it, so we gather information three ways: what you share with us directly, what we pick up automatically as you use the Site, and what trusted third parties pass along.
When you complete our application or inquiry form, request information, or communicate with us, you may provide:
When you use the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring and exit pages, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this information using cookies and similar technologies, as described in “Cookies & Analytics” below.
To evaluate applications, verify information, and prevent fraud, we may obtain information about you and your business from third parties, including consumer credit bureaus (Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion), business credit bureaus (Experian Business, Equifax Small Business, Dun & Bradstreet, and PayNet), bank-transaction and cash-flow data providers, identity-verification and fraud-prevention services, and public records and data-aggregation partners.
We put the information we collect to work in a handful of straightforward ways:
If you explicitly opt in by checking the SMS consent checkbox on our online application form (https://jumpstartfunding.net/apply), you agree that Jumpstart Funding may contact you by call and/or text message (SMS/MMS) regarding your business financing inquiry, application status, document requests, underwriting follow-up, related customer-care communications, and marketing communications about business financing options that may be available to you, including via automated technology where permitted.
When you check the SMS consent box on our application form, we record your phone number, the timestamp of your opt-in, and the exact consent language you agreed to as part of our messaging audit trail. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or contact us at info@jumpstartfunding.net or (216) 477-8503 to update your preferences. See our SMS Consent disclosure at /sms-opt-in for the exact opt-in language and a screenshot of the consent checkbox as it appears on the application form, and our SMS messaging program terms at /terms#sms-program.
Because we provide financial products, certain information we collect about applicants, business owners, and personal guarantors is “nonpublic personal information” protected under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) and the FTC Financial Privacy Rule. We collect, use, and disclose this information only as permitted by those laws — to process and service the financing you request, to complete transactions you authorize, and as otherwise permitted or required by law. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to protect this information, and we limit access to those who need it to provide the Services.
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy — including to evaluate and service financing, maintain business and accounting records, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements — and for as long as required to comply with applicable legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, de-identify, or securely dispose of it. Retention periods vary based on the type of information, the nature of our relationship with you, and applicable legal requirements.
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, disclosure, and loss. Access to personal information is limited to personnel and service providers who need it to perform their functions.
No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping any credentials you use with us confidential and for notifying us promptly of any suspected unauthorized access.
Bot protection. To protect our website and application forms from automated abuse and fraud, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, a bot-detection service provided by Cloudflare, Inc. Turnstile may collect and process information about your device, browser, and interaction (such as IP address and behavioral signals) to verify that you are a human and not an automated bot. This processing is governed by Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy and the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

If you believe we have collected information from a minor, please contact us at info@jumpstartfunding.net and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and the updated Policy becomes effective when posted. Your continued use of the Site or the Services after we post changes means you accept the updated Policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
